• Core, theme, and plugin updates applied carefully, not blindly. I review changelogs, update on a staging copy or during a low-traffic window where possible, and verify the front end and key pages after every update.
• Off-site backups taken on a regular schedule and stored away from your hosting account, so a server failure never means losing your site. I keep multiple restore points, not just the latest one.
• Security hardening and monitoring: login protection, file-permission checks, removal of known-vulnerable plugin versions, and scanning for malware or injected code. If something is flagged, you hear about it from me first.
• Uptime monitoring so I am alerted if your site goes down, rather than you finding out from a customer.
• Database cleanup: clearing out post revisions, transients, spam, and orphaned data that bloat your database and slow down the admin.

1. You order and share access. After purchase, you send me admin login details (or set up a dedicated maintenance account), and tell me anything I should know about your site, plugins, or recent issues.
2. I run a baseline audit. Before touching anything, I check your current versions, existing backups, security state, and overall health, then take a fresh full backup so we have a clean starting point.
3. I do the maintenance work for the cycle: updates, backups, security checks, cleanup, and performance review, testing as I go.
4. I verify the site. I load key pages and core functionality (forms, checkout, login) to confirm nothing broke during updates.
5. You get your report. At the end of each cycle I send a clear summary of everything done, anything I caught, and any recommendations.
6. We repeat each cycle for the duration of your plan, so the work is ongoing and consistent rather than reactive.

Q: Do I need to give you my admin password? I need admin-level access to do the work, but you are welcome to create a dedicated administrator account for me and remove it when the engagement ends. I never share your credentials and treat all access details as confidential.

Q: What if an update breaks my theme or a plugin? That is exactly what the pre-update backups are for. I roll back to the last working state, then investigate the conflict and find a safe path forward, whether that means waiting for a fix, adjusting a setting, or flagging an incompatible plugin to you.

Q: Does this include fixing my site if it is already hacked or broken? This service is ongoing maintenance to keep a healthy site healthy. Cleaning up an existing infection or repairing an already-broken site is a separate job, but I am happy to assess the situation first and tell you honestly what is needed.

Q: Can you build new features or redesign my site? This plan covers maintenance, not development. Premium includes a few small content or edit requests per cycle, but larger feature work, custom development, or redesigns are outside the scope and would be quoted separately.

Q: What happens to my backups, and can I have a copy? Backups are stored off-site, away from your hosting account, and I keep several restore points. You can absolutely request a copy of a backup at any time so you are never locked in or dependent on me to hold your data.

Q: How quickly will you respond if something goes wrong? Standard and Premium plans include faster response handling, with Premium prioritised. Within a cycle, if my monitoring catches an issue such as downtime or a security flag, I act on it rather than waiting for the next scheduled check-in.

Q: Do you work with managed hosts and page builders like Elementor? Yes. I work across standard and managed WordPress hosting and with common page builders and plugin stacks. If your setup has any unusual constraints, just tell me up front and I will confirm what is and is not possible before we begin.
