I will make custom acrylic and wood signage with standoff mounting hardware

About this gig

I will design and fabricate custom acrylic and wood signage finished with stainless steel standoff mounting hardware, shipped to your door ready to install on any wall.

What you get

  • A custom-cut sign panel in your choice of cast acrylic, real wood (baltic birch, walnut, or oak veneer plywood), or a layered acrylic-on-wood combination
  • Your logo, lettering, and artwork reproduced as raised dimensional layers, surface-printed full color, or engraved, depending on the look you choose
  • A set of four (or more) brushed stainless steel standoff barrels with matching caps, sized to your panel thickness and the gap you want off the wall
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes positioned and spaced for clean, level installation, with hole locations confirmed on a proof before anything is cut
  • Wall anchors and screws appropriate for drywall, plus a printed paper drilling template so you can mark the holes accurately
  • A digital proof (flat artwork plus a mounting-hole layout diagram) for your approval before fabrication begins
  • The finished sign packaged in custom foam-and-corner protection and shipped with tracking
  • A short written install guide covering spacing, leveling, and tightening the standoffs

How it works

  1. You send me your logo or artwork (vector preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) along with the text, the wall location, and any size or color goals. If you only have a raster file or a rough sketch, tell me and I'll advise on what's needed.
  2. I confirm material, dimensions, finish, and standoff style with you, then prepare a digital proof showing the flat artwork and a mounting-hole layout diagram.
  3. You review the proof. We refine colors, spacing, sizing, and hole positions until you approve. Nothing is cut before written sign-off.
  4. I fabricate the panel: cutting and finishing the material, applying print or engraving, building up any dimensional layers, and drilling the mounting holes to the approved layout.
  5. I test-fit the standoff hardware, clean and inspect the finished piece, then pack it with foam and reinforced corners for transit.
  6. The sign ships with tracking, accompanied by the standoffs, anchors, screws, paper drilling template, and the install guide.

Why choose this

A printed-vinyl sign or a flat decal reads as temporary. A dimensional panel held off the wall by polished steel standoffs casts a soft shadow and looks deliberate, permanent, and expensive, which is exactly the impression a lobby, reception desk, or storefront is supposed to make. I handle the part most people get wrong: the mounting. The holes are drilled to a layout you approve in advance, spaced for the standoff barrels you'll actually receive, and shipped with a paper template so the install is a matter of marking, drilling, and tightening rather than guesswork and patched-over mistakes.

I work in both acrylic and real wood, which means I can match the material to the room instead of forcing every sign into the same glossy plastic. Acrylic suits clean, modern, tech-forward spaces; wood warms up hospitality, wellness, studio, and craft environments; and a layered build gives you a logo that literally stands proud of its backing. Every order goes through a proof so you see the exact layout, color, and proportions before a single cut is made.

Who it's for / use cases

  • Office lobbies and reception walls that need a professional logo sign behind the front desk
  • Retail storefronts, boutiques, and showrooms wanting an interior brand statement
  • Restaurants, cafes, salons, gyms, and clinics adding a polished entry or wall feature
  • Startups and agencies fitting out a new space or a podcast / video backdrop wall
  • Coworking spaces, galleries, and event venues needing clean wayfinding or branded panels
  • Anyone replacing a tired vinyl decal or printed banner with something that looks built to last

FAQ

Q: What file should I send for my logo? A vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) gives the cleanest edges and the best print or engraving. If you only have a PNG or JPG, send it anyway. I'll tell you whether it's usable at your target size or whether it needs to be redrawn.

Q: Acrylic or wood, which should I pick? It depends on the room and the feel you want. Acrylic looks crisp and modern and handles full-color printing beautifully; wood feels warm and natural and pairs well with engraving or layered acrylic lettering. Tell me about the space and I'll recommend the better fit before you commit.

Q: How far off the wall will the standoffs hold the sign? The standard projection gives a clear, shadow-casting gap that's typical for lobby signage. If you want it to sit tighter or stand off more dramatically, I can adjust the barrel length within the available hardware range, just say so during proofing.

Q: Do I need special tools to install it? No. You'll need a drill, the correct bit for your wall type, and a level. I include wall anchors, screws, and a paper drilling template printed to scale, plus a written guide covering spacing and how to tighten the standoff caps without over-cranking them.

Q: Will it work on brick, tile, or concrete? The included anchors are for standard drywall. Brick, tile, concrete, or glass need different fasteners, which you can source locally to match your wall. Let me know your surface and I'll note the right anchor type in your install guide.

Q: Can you match my exact brand colors? Yes for printed elements. Send hex or Pantone references and I'll match as closely as the process allows. Note that engraved and natural-wood elements show the material's own color rather than a printed ink, which I'll point out on the proof.

Q: What if it arrives damaged? Every sign is packed with foam and reinforced corners and ships with tracking. In the rare event of transit damage, send photos of the packaging and the piece and I'll arrange a remake.

Q: Can you do more than four standoffs or a larger sign? Yes. Larger panels and additional standoffs are available on the higher tiers, and very large signs can be produced as split panels that align on the wall. Share your dimensions and I'll confirm the best approach before fabrication.

Solid sign and the standoff mounts feel really sturdy once up. Took a little longer than I expected to arrive, but the quality of the acrylic was worth the wait.

Super happy with the wood and clear acrylic combo, the layered look is exactly what I pictured for our reception area.

The acrylic and wood sign for our lobby came out gorgeous, and the standoff hardware made it look like it's floating off the wall. Mounting was a breeze with the spacers included.
