I will design a memorable business card and stationery suite

About this gig

A memorable business card and matching stationery suite, custom-designed around your brand and delivered as crisp, print-ready files you can hand to any printer with confidence.

What you get

A business card is the smallest piece of marketing you own, and often the one that lingers longest in someone's wallet or on a desk. I design business cards and coordinated stationery that look deliberate, feel considered, and carry your brand the moment they leave your hand. This is a hands-on design service: I work directly with you, draw real concepts, and refine them based on your feedback until the suite is genuinely yours.

Here is what is included in the deliverables:

  • A custom business card design (standard or rounded-corner format), laid out front and back with your name, role, contact details, logo, and any handles or QR code you need.
  • Matching stationery pieces drawn from the same visual system so everything reads as one brand: letterhead, an envelope layout, and a compliments slip are the typical core set, with options to extend (see Plans).
  • Print-ready files with proper bleed, trim, and safe margins, exported as press-quality PDFs and supporting formats so any commercial or online printer can run them without a back-and-forth.
  • A clean typographic system: I pair and size fonts, set consistent margins, and establish a hierarchy so your details are easy to scan, not crammed.
  • Color built for print, with CMYK values prepared for accurate reproduction, plus advice on stock weight, finishes (matte, gloss, soft-touch), and special effects like spot UV or foil if your printer supports them.
  • A short handover note explaining what each file is for, how to send it to a printer, and which settings to confirm before you pay for a run.

Everything is designed to be honest to the brand you already have. If you arrive with a logo and rough colors, I build around them. If your brand is loose, I'll make sensible, defensible choices and explain them.

Plans

TierScopeConceptsRevisionsSource files
BasicBusiness card only, front and back, print-ready1 concept2 roundsPrint PDF
StandardBusiness card + letterhead + envelope, unified suite2 concepts3 roundsPrint PDF + editable source
PremiumFull suite — card, letterhead, envelope, compliments slip + extras (folder/label/sticker as agreed)3 conceptsUnlimited within scopePrint PDF + editable source + packaged fonts/assets

Each tier delivers files ready to send straight to a printer. The difference between tiers is breadth of the suite, how many distinct directions I explore up front, and how much room there is to refine before we lock the design.

How it works

  1. Brief and discovery. You send me your logo (if you have one), brand colors, the exact text for each piece, and a few examples of cards or stationery you admire. If you don't have a logo yet, tell me — I'll work with type and color instead, and flag where a logo would strengthen the result.
  2. Direction. I confirm format, orientation, sizes, and which stationery pieces are in scope, then sketch the layout and typographic approach so we agree on the foundation before pixels get polished.
  3. First concepts. I design the agreed number of concepts and send you flat previews (and realistic mockups where helpful) so you can judge how the card will actually feel in hand.
  4. Refinement. You give feedback in plain language — "tighten the spacing," "try the logo larger," "the role line should be smaller" — and I revise within the rounds your tier allows.
  5. Finalize and prepare for print. Once you approve, I set bleed and trim, double-check CMYK color, embed or package fonts, and export the press-ready files.
  6. Handover. You receive the final files plus a short note on sending them to a printer and confirming settings before you commit to a run.

Why choose this

I treat the business card as a system, not a single rectangle. By designing the card and stationery together, every piece shares the same margins, type, and color logic, so your brand feels coherent whether someone sees your envelope, your letterhead, or the card in their pocket. I prepare files the way printers actually want to receive them — correct bleed, outlined or packaged fonts, CMYK color — which spares you the frustrating loop of a print shop bouncing your file back. And because this is a collaborative service rather than a template hand-off, the result is specific to you: your details, your tone, your constraints, refined through real conversation.

Who it's for / use cases

This service suits anyone who wants a professional first impression on paper:

  • Founders and freelancers launching and needing a card that signals they take their work seriously.
  • Consultants, agents, and realtors who hand out cards constantly and want them to stand out in a stack.
  • Small businesses and studios wanting matching letterhead and envelopes for quotes, invoices, and correspondence.
  • Networkers and event attendees who need cards ready before a conference or pitch.
  • Rebrands where an existing logo needs fresh, coordinated print collateral built around it.

FAQ

Q: Do you print the cards, or just design them? This is a design service. I deliver print-ready files; you choose and pay your own printer. I'm happy to recommend stock, finishes, and settings, and to confirm your printer's specs are met before you order.

Q: I don't have a logo yet — can you still help? Yes. I'll design a strong type- and color-driven card that works without a logo, and I'll note where adding one later would lift the design. Full logo design is a separate piece of work, but I can flag that scope if you need it.

Q: What do you need from me to start? The exact text for every piece (name, role, phone, email, address, handles, QR target), your logo file if you have one, any brand colors or fonts, and a couple of examples you like. The more precise the text, the faster we reach a polished result.

Q: What file formats will I receive? Press-quality PDF with bleed and trim is standard on every tier. Standard and Premium also include an editable source file so future edits are possible, and Premium packages the fonts and assets used.

Q: Can you match cards to my existing brand? Absolutely — that's the ideal scenario. Send your logo, colors, and fonts and I'll build the suite to sit naturally alongside them rather than competing with what you already have.

Q: How many revisions are included? Basic includes two rounds, Standard three, and Premium is unlimited within the agreed scope. Revisions cover refining the chosen direction; switching to an entirely new concept after approval is treated as new scope.

Q: Can you add special finishes like foil or spot UV? I design with those finishes in mind and prepare the necessary layers or guides, but the finish itself is produced by your printer. Tell me early if you want foil, embossing, or spot UV so I build the files to support it.

Q: Can you handle double-sided cards and unusual sizes? Yes. Front-and-back is standard, and I can work to square, mini, or other formats — just confirm your printer supports the size and I'll set the files up accordingly.

Loved how the letterhead and envelope matched the card perfectly. Handed one out at a meeting and someone immediately asked who designed it.

Good work on the whole suite, the envelope design especially. I'd have liked one more layout option for the card, but what I got was polished and print-ready.

Really solid business card and the matching notecard turned out great. Took a couple of rounds to nail the color, but the final files were spotless.
