I will design striking album cover art and streaming artwork for your music release
About this gig
I will design striking album cover art and streaming artwork that makes your release stand out in feeds, playlists, and thumbnails. Custom, release-ready, and built around your sound.
What you get
Your music deserves a cover that earns the click before a single note plays. I design original album, single, and EP artwork built specifically for the platforms where people actually find music: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, and your socials. No generic stock-photo templates and no recycled designs you'll spot on someone else's release next week.
Here is what lands in your hands:
- Primary cover artwork delivered as a high-resolution 3000 x 3000 px square JPG and PNG — the exact spec required for Spotify, Apple Music, and most distributors (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, etc.).
- Custom typography and title treatment for your artist name and track/album title, hand-set to match the mood — not a font dragged on at the end.
- Layered source file on the Standard and Premium tiers (PSD or layered file) so type and art can be edited later.
- Streaming canvas / animated cover on Premium — a short looping MP4 (Spotify Canvas spec, 9:16 vertical, 3-8 seconds) so your track moves in the app.
- Social and promo variants sized for Instagram posts (1080 x 1080), stories/Reels (1080 x 1920), and YouTube thumbnails (1280 x 720) so your rollout looks consistent everywhere.
- A print-ready 300 DPI version with bleed on request, in case you press vinyl, CD, or cassette later.
- Clean, legible artwork that still reads at thumbnail size — because that's how 90% of listeners will first see it.
Every file is named, organized, and labeled so you (or your distributor) never have to guess which version goes where.

How it works
- Brief & briefing call (optional). You send me the track or a rough mix, your genre, the title, artist name, and any visual references, moodboards, or covers you love. The more you share, the sharper the result. If you don't have references, no problem — I'll ask the right questions.
- Direction lock. Before I design anything polished, I confirm the mood, color palette, and typographic direction in a short written direction so we're aligned. This is where we save revisions.
- First designs. I deliver your concept(s) as watermarked previews at the agreed tier. You see real layouts, real type, real color — not vague sketches.
- Revisions. You give consolidated feedback and I refine. We tighten composition, contrast, type weight, and detail until it sings at both full size and thumbnail.
- Final delivery. Once approved, I export every file in the correct format and resolution for your distributor and platforms, plus source files where your tier includes them. You're release-ready.
Why choose this
I design for the way music is actually consumed today: tiny squares scrolling past in a crowded app. A cover that looks great blown up on a desktop but turns to mush at 200 pixels has failed at its only job. I obsess over silhouette, contrast, and a focal point that survives compression and shrinking — so your art stops the scroll on a phone screen.
You also get honest collaboration. I won't pad the project with decorative noise or trends that'll date your release in six months. I design to the emotion of the music and to the story you're telling as an artist. Type is treated as carefully as the imagery, because the name and title are the cover too. And you walk away with proper commercial rights and organized, correctly-spec'd files — no last-minute scramble when your distributor rejects an off-size upload.
Who it's for / use cases
- Independent musicians and bands releasing a single, EP, or album and self-distributing.
- Producers, beatmakers, and DJs dropping instrumental tracks, mixes, or beat tapes.
- Rappers and singer-songwriters who need a cohesive look across a multi-single rollout.
- Podcasters and audio creators who want show or episode artwork that meets streaming specs.
- Labels and managers needing reliable, on-spec art for a roster of releases.
- Anyone re-releasing or remastering older work who wants fresh, modern cover art.
Genres are no obstacle — hip-hop, lo-fi, electronic, indie, metal, ambient, pop, folk, classical, or anything in between. The approach adapts to the sound.
FAQ
Q: What files do I need for Spotify and Apple Music? A square 3000 x 3000 px image (JPG or PNG, RGB) covers Spotify, Apple Music, and virtually every major distributor. That's the core deliverable on every tier, so you're upload-ready out of the box.
Q: Can you match a specific reference or aesthetic I love? Yes. References are genuinely helpful. I'll take your inspiration and build something original in that spirit — I create custom artwork, never copies of existing covers, which keeps you clear of rights problems.
Q: Do I own the rights to use it commercially? Yes. On delivery you receive commercial usage rights to release, promote, sell, and stream your music with the artwork. Any licensed fonts or assets are cleared for your use; I'll flag anything you should know.
Q: What do you need from me to start? The title and artist name, your genre, and ideally the track or a rough mix. References, a color preference, or a moodboard help a lot. If you're unsure of the direction, send what you have and I'll guide you through it.
Q: How many revisions are included? Basic includes one round, Standard includes two, and Premium includes unlimited revisions within the agreed concept. Revisions cover refinement of the chosen direction; brand-new concepts from scratch fall outside that scope.
Q: Can you make an animated cover for Spotify Canvas? Yes — that's part of the Premium tier. You get a short looping vertical MP4 built to Canvas specs so your track has subtle motion in the Spotify app. It can also be repurposed for Reels and Stories.
Q: Will the artwork work for vinyl, CD, or cassette later? Yes. I can supply a print-ready 300 DPI version with proper bleed so the same design carries cleanly from streaming to physical formats. It's included on Premium and available on request for Standard.
Q: I only have a track title and no visual ideas — can you still help? Absolutely. A big part of this service is translating sound and intent into a visual direction. Tell me how the music should feel and who it's for, and I'll bring the concept.

Solid cover design and I liked the final result a lot. Took a couple of rounds to nail the mood I wanted, but he was patient with the revisions.

Absolutely thrilled with the artwork for my single. Clean, eye-catching, and the streaming thumbnail still looks sharp even when it's tiny on my phone.

The album cover came out way bolder than I pictured, and the Spotify and Apple Music crops he sent over fit perfectly without any awkward cutoffs.

Sent him a rough idea and a few reference tracks and he turned it into a striking cover that actually matches the vibe of my EP. The platform-ready files were a nice touch.
